Delahaye was a French autmotive manufacturer that was established in 1894. Founded by Émile Delahaye, his namesake company was known for creating automobiles that combined luxury and performance. Early models such as the Type 43 and Type 48 helped established the company's reputation, whereas highly regarded models such as the 135 and 175 cemented Delahaye as a world class automaker. In the post-WW2 years, the company struggled to revive its pre-war success, with late models such as the 235 unable to save the company from exiting the automotive world in 1954.
