The Delahaye 235 was a series of luxury cars that were introduced in 1951. The 235 was created to bring Delahaye's famed 135 into a new era. This new line of cars featured modern, streamlined styling, and was powered by a triple-carbureted 152hp 3.6L inline six engine. The 235 was mainly sold as a rolling chassis that was bodied by independent coachbuilders, but a "standardized" body was built by the coachbuilder Chapron. Production of the Delahaye 235 ended in 1954, when the company decided to end its automotive production.
