The third and final generation of Dodge Dakota was introduced for the 2005 model year. The final generation of Dakota was offered in club or extended cab, no standard cab was available. On top of the standard 3.7L V6 engine, a 4.7L V8 was offered in regular, or High Output tunings. For the 2008 model year, the third generation Dakota received a facelift, this styling continued until 2011 when the model was discontinued.
