Ferrari 250 Europa GT (1954 to 1956)

Introduced in late 1954, the Ferrari 250 Europa GT (not to be confused with the earlier 250 Europa) was the first road car to use Colombo's 250 V12, common to most 250's from that point forward. It was also the first Ferrari to use the Gran Turismo or GT moniker. The original 250 Europa GT used a 2,600 mm chassis with the engine tuned to 220 PS (162 kW; 217 hp). The Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Speciale and Berlinetta Competizione were limited production variants of the Ferrari 250 Europa GT, built as successors to the 250 MM and precursors to the 250 GT Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ race cars.
