Ferrari 400i - Manual (1978 to 1985)

The Ferrari 400i - Manual (a/k/a 400i GT) was the front-engined fuel injected V12 grand tourer, successor to the carbureted Ferrari 400. Available between 1978 and 1984, the 400i GT was powered by the same 4.8 liter V12 as its predecessor, but the carburetors were replaced by a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system. Initially, the 400i was capable of 306 HP at 6500 rpm, but was later upgraded to produce 311 HP, along with the introduction of interior and exterior improvements. Drive was sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The automatic version was known as the 400i Automatic. Ferrari produced a total of 1,305 samples of the Ferrari 400i, out of which 422 were GT (manual) and the rest were automatic.
