The Fiat 126 is a series of compact rear engined cars first introduced by Fiat in 1972. The Fiat 126 was powered by a series of two cylinder engines and were available as a two door saloon or hatchback. A range of coachbuilt and kit car variants were made using the Fiat 126 as a base. Production of the Fiat 126 continued until 2000, yet in most markets, the 126 was no longer sold after 1993 in order to focus on the sale of the Fiat Cinquecento.
