Ford Country Squire - 3rd Gen (1955 to 1956)

The third generation of Ford Country Squire debuted for the 1955 model year. This updated generation saw the Country Squire produced as the station wagon equivalent of the First Generation Ford Fairlane. These wood paneled, four door station wagons represented Ford's top station wagon offering, and was fitted with a standard 3.7L inline six engine. In addition to the inline six, a range of V8 units were available, including 4.5L, 4.8L, and 5.1L options. These engines sent their power to the rear wheels via manual and automatic transmission options. Production of the third generation Country Squire lasted until 1956, when it was replaced by the Fourth Generation Ford Country Squire.
