The second generation of Focus RS was introduced in 2009. Known as the Mk II, the second generation RS was a performance focused version of the Ford Focus, and was only available as a front wheel drive hatchback. The Mk II was powered by a turbocharged 2.5L inline five engine that produced 300hp. Three color options were available, with bright green, white, and blue selections. The Mk II RS saw 11,000 examples built before it exited production in 2011. The Mk II would eventually be replaced by the Ford Focus RS Mk III.
