The GMC 1500 was a three quarter-ton version of the 1st Gen GMC C/K that debuted for the 1960 model year. The 1500 offered as a rear wheel drive pickup, with a selection of bed lengths and the choice between the fendered Fenderside or sleek Wideside truck beds. Two engine options were available during the course of production, a 230ci inline six or a 305ci V6, with manual or automatic transmission options. Production of the 1st Gen GMC 1500 ended in 1966, when it was replaced by the 2nd Gen GMC C2500.
