GMC Suburban - 3rd Gen (1947 to 1954)

GMC introduced the third generation of their Suburban model for the 1947 model year. The third generation of Suburban received a raft of improvements over the previous generation, yet the model was still offered as a two door carryall, and was an upmarket version of the Chevrolet Suburban. The third generation Suburban featured a 3.5L inline six engine (3.9L for 1954), and was in production until 1954, when it was replaced by the Fourth Generation GMC Suburban.
