Imperial - 6th Gen (1981 to 1983)

The sixth and final generation of Imperial was introduced for the 1981 model year. The Imperial name was reborn after a six year hiatus, with the sixth generation offered as a series of luxury coupes powered by a 5.2L V8 engine. The sixth generation of Imperial was only in production until 1983, when Imperial as a make was discontinued. Chrysler would reintroduce the Imperial name as its own model in 1990, for what was the Seventh Generation Chrysler Imperial.
