Indian Four (1928 to 1942)

The Four model was introduced in 1928 by Indian Motorcycle. It was an iconic motorcycle renowned for its distinctive 1265cc inline four engine. The bike was available in several versions over the years, including the initial Model 401, the 1936-1937 "upside-down" Four, and the refined 1940 440, all sharing the robustness and smoothness characteristic of its inline four engine. A notable feature of the Indian Four is its combination of power, stability and elegance, which made it a benchmark of luxury and performance at the time, as well as a highly coveted collector's item among classic motorcycle enthusiasts. The Indian Four was produced until 1942.
