Indian M Series (1970 to 1976)

The M series was a family of lightweight motorcycles introduced by Indian Motorcycle in 1970. It was designed to offer affordable and versatile models in various street, trail and motocross configurations. Within this line were the MX, such as the MX74 and MX76, geared towards motocross with Minarelli two-stroke engines ranging from 70cc to 75cc and 4 or 6 speed manual transmissions; the ME, such as the ME100 and ME125, designed for dual-sport use with 97cc and 125cc engines respectively and 5 speed manual transmissions; and the MI, such as the MI175, which expanded the range with a 175cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine and a dual purpose character for both road and trail riding. These motorcycles combined European mechanics with the classic Indian aesthetic. The Indian M series was produced until 1976.
