The Scout was introduced by Indian Motorcycle in 1920 and its one of the most iconic and recognizable motorcycles in American motorcycling history. The Scout distinguished itself with its robust V-Twin engine, balanced design and excellent handling. These qualities made it a favorite among both civilian motorcyclists and the armed forces during World War II. Throughout its various generations, from the 500cc and 745cc Scouts of the 1920s and 30s to the modern versions with engines up to 1133cc, the model has maintained its original spirit of a midsize motorcycle with great character, reliable performance and classic styling.
