Jeep J-4000 (1971 to 1973)

The Jeep J-4000 was a variant of the Jeep J-Series that debuted for the 1972 model year. The J-4000 a three-quarter ton, four wheel drive pickup truck. These trucks were offered with a standard 304 cubic inch V8 engine, or other optional V8s, including a 360 cubic inch unit. These engines were paired to manual or automatic transmission options. While part time four wheel drive was standard, Jeep's Quadra-Trac full-time four wheel drive was optional. Production of the Jeep J-2000 lasted until 1973, when the model series was renamed to the Jeep J-20.
