KTM 560 (2006 to 2007)

The KTM 560 is a rare and highly specialized beast, primarily known for the 560 SMR. This model was a "factory-built" supermoto racer that pushed the RFS (Racing Four Stroke) engine architecture to its absolute limit. Displacing 565cc, it was created for riders who found the 450 too high-strung and the 525 just slightly under-gunned for professional supermoto competition. It is essentially a bored-and-stroked version of the 450 SMR, designed to provide massive, broad-shouldered torque to pull out of tight hairpins on asphalt. Because it was a "Competition" only model, it lacked a kickstand, lights, or any street-legal equipment, weighing in at a featherweight 109 kg.
