The second generation Lamborghini Diablo VT was produced exclusively in 1999. These updated cars featured the new fixed headlights which were used on all second generation Diablos from 1999 onward. Numerous small improvements made the 1999 VT one of the best driving Diablos. Larger brake discs aided stopping power and necessitated bigger 18" wheels to accommodate this upgrade, which was made alongside the implementation of ABS. Improvements to the V12 engine resulted in power being increased to 529hp. The exterior was largely untouched from the first generation VT apart from the headlights, but the interior was almost completely redesigned, and featured a new wave shaped dashboard. These VT cars were eventually replaced by the Diablo VT 6.0 in 2000.
