The LaSalle Series 340 was the third evolution of the LaSalle. Introduced for the 1930 model year, the Series 340 was named for its 340 cubic inch (5.6L) engine. Whereas previous LaSalles had been offered on different wheelbase lengths, the Series 340 was only built on one 134 inch wheelbase. These cars were built in a variety of open and closed body styles that were made by the coachbuilders Fisher and Fleetwood, and included tourer, sedan, and phaeton. The 5.6L V8 engine that powered the car generated 90hp which was sent to the rear wheels via a 3 speed manual transmission. Production of the LaSalle Series 340 was limited to the 1930 model year before it was replaced by the LaSalle Series 345.
Q: When was the LaSalle Series 340 produced?
A: The LaSalle Series 340 was sold for model year 1930.
