The Mercedes-Benz CLS550 4MATIC was a variant of the C218 CLS-Class that debuted for the 2011 model year. The C218 replaced the previous C219 CLS550, and was equipped with Mercedes' M278 E47 engine. This new 4.7L V8 engine featured twin turbocharging, and had an output of 402hp and 443 lb ft of torque. Drive from this engine was sent to all four-wheels through 7 or 9 speed automatic transmission options. Production of the C218 Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 lasted until 2018, when the model series was discontinued.
