Mercedes-Benz 220SE Cabriolet - W111 (1961 to 1965)

The first variant of the Mercedes-Benz W111 Cabriolet to be introduced was the 220SE. Debuting in 1961, the 220 SE cabriolet was powered by Mercedes' M127.984 engine. This 2.2L inline six powerplant generated 118hp that was sent to the rear wheels via a standard 4 speed manual transmission, although a 4 speed automatic was optional. Production of the W111 220SE Cabriolet lasted until late 1965, with just a total of 2,729 examples built. The 220SE cabriolet was replaced by the Mercedes-Benz 250SE Cabriolet.
