Oldsmobile 88 - 2nd Gen (1954 to 1956)

The second generation of Oldsmobile 88 was introduced for the 1954 model year. This updated generation of 88 saw the base model return to being named '88,' while the high end variant remained the 'Super.' The famed Rocket V8 was enlarged to 5.3L, and was fitted to sedan, coupe, or hardtop bodies. Production of the second generation 88 continued until 1956 when it was replaced by the Third Generation Oldsmobile 88.
