The Opel Omega is an executive passenger car developed by the German manufacturer Opel between 1986 and 2004. available in four-door sedan and five-door family bodies, both with five seats. In America was sold as the Cadillac Catera3 becoming the few Opel models to be marketed under the luxurious General Motors brand, it was also sold under the Chevrolet, Holden, and Vauxhall brands. At the end of 1986, it was voted European Car of the Year for 1987, ahead of the highly acclaimed new versions of the Audi 80 and BMW 7 Series. Over the course of production, the Omega was available with a selection of inline four, inline six, and V6 engines, and it was built in two evolutions: Omega A (1986-1994) and Omega B (1995-2004). Although production of the Opel Omega ended in 2003, sales didn't end until 2004.
