Opel Rekord (1954 to 1986)

The Opel Rekord was a series of mid-size cars that was introduced for the 1954 model year. The Rekord name first debuted on the Olympia Rekord, which had replaced the Opel Olympia. Over the course of its production, the Rekord was offered in a variety of body styles, including coupe, convertible, sedan, wagon, and sedan delivery. The Rekord was only ever offered as a rear wheel drive car, and was built in eight generations: Olympia Rekord (1953-1957), P1 (1958-1960), P2 (1961-1963), A (1964-1965), B (1966), C (1968-1971), D (1972-1977), and E (1978-1986).
