The Opel Speedster was a series of sports cars introduced in 2001. The Speedster was built in a semi-convertible body style with an aluminium frame and fiberglass body that made the car weigh just under 875kg. The Speedster was available with an all-aluminium alloy 2.2L inline four engine that produced 145hp or a 2.0L turbocharged inline four, which produced 200hp. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Getrag F23 manual gearbox. The Opel Speedster ended production in 2006.
