The Opel Tigra was the name for a model introduced by Opel in 1994. The first Tigra was available as a 2+2 coupe that used the same platform as the second generation of Opel Corsa. The second evolution of the Tigra was a compact, hardtop convertible introduced in 2004. These cars also sold as Vauxhall Tigra, Holden Tigra, and Chevrolet Tigra depending on the market. These cars were powered by two petrol engine options, both from the Ecotec family as well as a diesel engine. Both manual and automatic transmissions were offered for the Opel Tigra, which was in production until 2009.
