Panoz AIV Roadster (1996 to 1999)

The Panoz AIV Roadster was a series of sports cars that were introduced in 1996. The AIV Roadster was developed from the Panoz Roadster, but with a new aluminum chassis. The AIV (meaning Aluminum Intensive Vehicle) also featured a new Ford-sourced powerplant. This new engine was a 4.6L V8 sourced from the Fourth Generation Mustang, generating 305hp, which was sent to the rear wheels via a 5 speed manual transmission. A total of 176 examples of the Panoz AIV Roadster were built before the model was discontinued in 1999.
