Porsche 356 B T6 (1962 to 1963)

At the end of 1961, Porsche decided to conduct the last major design update on the 356 model, updating the 356 B generation. Sporting a larger, squared-off hood, twin-engine lid grilles, an external fuel filler in the right front wing/fender, an enlarged rear window for the Coupe, as well as many other significant technical and design changes, the evolution of the Porsche 356 B T5 was designated as the Porsche 356 B T6, and its production started at the end of 1961 as 1962 model-year cars, produced up until the end of 1963. Offered as a Coupe, Cabriolet, and limited runs of Notchback and Roadster variants, it was offered with the same engine options of its predecessor (the 356 B T5): 1600 (now sporting a "60" badge on the rear), 1600S (with an "S" badge), S90 (with "S90"badge), and Carrera engine options paired to a four-speed synchromesh 741 transmission, which was also updated and improved. At the end of 1963, Porsche made another few technical and structural tweaks to the T6 and introduced the last generation Porsche 356 C Coupe, which was basically a 356 B T6 with disc brakes and revised powertrain options.
