Reliant Bond Bug (1970 to 1974)

The Bond Bug was introduced by Reliant in 1970. It was a three-wheeled microcar designed by Tom Karen of Ogle Design, notable for its futuristic styling, fiberglass bodywork and front access via a lift-up targa-style roof. With room for two, it weighed around 395kg and was powered by a small inline four engine, a 4-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 120km/h. Its orange color and classification as a motorized tricycle made it an iconic and eccentric vehicle of its time. It was available in three different versions: 700E (700cc inline four engine), 700ES (701cc inline four engine) and 750 (748cc inline four engine). The Reliant Bond Bug was produced until 1974.
