The first generation of Studebaker Commander was introduced in 1927. The Commander succeeded the Studebaker Special Six, and was the company's intermediate full-size model. These rear wheel drive cars were initially powered by a selection of inline six engines, but starting in 1929, an inline eight option became available. Body styles offered included sedan, coupe, and roadster. Production of the first generation Commander lasted until 1935, when Studebaker dropped the model. In 1937, Studebaker renamed their Dictator model the Commander due to the global climate before WW2, effectively launching the Second Generation Studebaker Commander.
Q: When was the Studebaker Commander - 1st Gen produced?
A: The Studebaker Commander - 1st Gen was sold for model years 1927 to 1935.
