The sixth and final generation of Studebaker Commander was introduced for the 1964 model year. This generation saw the Commander name used for the lower-intermediate trim level on the Studebaker Lark. These rear wheel drive cars were powered by a 3.2L or 3.8L inline six engine, with an optional 4.6L V8 also offered. Production of the Studebaker Commander ended in 1966, when the final Studebaker plant in Canada closed.
