The Studebaker E-Series was a family of trucks that was introduced for the 1955 model year. The E-Series consisted of 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton, 1-1/2 ton, and 2 ton variants, which were available in rear wheel drive, or converted to all wheel drive by NAPCO (North American Parts Company). These trucks were designated by the letter &#39;E&#39; and a number, 1956 was 2E (2nd Series E), 1957 was 3E, and onward. E-Series trucks were available with two inline six engine and three V8 options, as well as diesel inline three and inline four units. In 1960, Studebaker introduced a new series of light pickups known as the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/champ">Champ</a>, but larger trucks remained E-Series variants until production ended in late 1963 when Studebaker closed its South Bend factory. Remaining trucks were sold as 1964 models.

Over the course of its production, the Hawk was powered by a range of V8 engines, as well as one inline six unit. In 1956, the Hawk Series was released with four different trim levels, with each trim level given its own model name. The <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/hawk-series/flight-hawk/">Flight Hawk</a> was the entry-level offering, The <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/hawk-series/power-hawk/">Power Hawk</a> represented the intermediate model, and the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/hawk-series/sky-hawk/">Sky Hawk</a> being the premium model. Sitting above these variants was Studebaker&#39;s flagship, the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/hawk-series/golden-hawk/">Golden Hawk</a>. For the 1957 model year, only the Golden Hawk remained from the initial models, while the new <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/hawk-series/silver-hawk/">Silver Hawk</a> took over the entry-level position. A Packard-branded version appeared for 1958 known as the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/packard/hawk/">Packard Hawk</a>. For 1960, the Hawk Series was only offered as the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/hawk-series/hawk/">Studebaker Hawk</a>, until 1962, when the final version, the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/hawk-series/gran-turismo-hawk/">Gran Turismo Hawk</a>, debuted. The Avanti was Studebaker&#39;s top model during its production, and was only available in a two door coupe body style. This new line of cars were created to combine luxury and performance, and were offered with three engine options. The <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/avanti/r1/">R1</a> was the standard 4.7L V8 engine, with an optional supercharged version known as the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/studebaker/avanti/r2/">R2</a> also available.
