Founded in 1936 by Antonio Lago, the Talbot-Lago brand began as Automobiles Talbot. The company manufactured cars in France before the war. Famous for straight six engines and beautiful coach-built vehicles from the likes of Figoni and Saoutchik, as well as racing success with models like the T26 Grand Prix cars. Most noted amongst collectors today is the 1937 Talbot-Lago T150 C SS Teardrop Coupe. By 1959 the company was purchased by Simca.
