White Commercial Vehicles (1914 to 1967)

Commercial Vehicles were introduced by White in 1914. After ceasing passenger car production, the company focused its efforts on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, known for their durability, rugged engineering, and reliability under demanding conditions. White trucks were widely used by transportation, construction and utility. The White Motor Company was also a prominent bus manufacturer, especially between the 1920s and 1950s. Renowned for their build quality and mechanical reliability, White buses were widely used by city, school, tour, and military transportation systems in the United States and other countries. The company offered both body-on chassis and complete buses, many with 4 or 6 cylinder engines, rear-wheel drive, and robustly designed bodies. One of the most iconic models was the Model 706, an open-top tour bus designed specifically for U.S. National Parks such as Yellowstone and Glacier, with seating for approximately 14 passengers and a folding roof. These vehicles, with their distinctive rounded design and prominent front grille, became icons of American scenic transportation. Although bus production declined toward the mid-20th century, White examples are now highly valued by collectors and historical institutions. White Commercial Vehicles were produced until 1967.
