White Scout Car (1938 to 1944)

The Scout Car was introduced by White in 1938. It was a light armored personnel carrier produced by the company during World War II. Designed for reconnaissance, escort, command, and communications purposes, the Scout was a 4x4 with an open body, capable of carrying up to 8 troops. It was powered by a 6.3L inline six engine and a 4-speed manual transmission with all-wheel drive. Its light armor offered protection against small-arms fire and shrapnel. The Scout was usually armed with a combination of .30 and .50 caliber Browning machine guns mounted on a skate rail. It was widely used by American and Allied forces, including the USSR under the Lend-Lease program. Its reliability and versatility made it a key component of Allied armored personnel carriers during the war. The White Scout Car was produced until 1944.
