About this 1949 Chrysler Town & Country

VIN: 7410420

1949 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country Convertible

One thousand of these classic cars were produced.

This cherished family heirloom exudes the grace and elegance of a yacht. Powered by a Spitfire 135 hp engine—a straight-eight engine coupled with a Prestomic Gyrol Fluid Drive Transmission. The orginal convertible canvas top and white ash wood trim are in excellent condition. The original color was apple green, which was repainted in 1995. The only non-original components are the leather on the passenger side, which was replaced. The vehicle has accumulated 80,523 miles and is currently in excellent running condition.

In 2023, the Geist Brothers of Glenmont serviced the car. They replaced the fuel gauge and convertible top motor, as well as the exhaust system with a stainless steel one. Additionally, a new water pump was installed, along with brakes and master cylinders and hoses. The only item that requires replacement is the leather upholsteryon the driver side seat.
