This is a fun and great driving '56 custom F100 long bed pickup that turns heads everywhere you take it! It's a daily driver that can turn on a dime, sounds great, drives straight and stirs up a whole lot of "thumbs up" wherever it goes.
Recent modifications and upgrades to this truck were made. New American Racing Vintage Torq Thrust II polished wheels were added and mounted with new Paragon Tour low profile radial tires on 18 inch front & 20 inch rears. Other recent upgrades include a new windshield with new molding, new lap seat belts, new outside (Dennis Carpenter) side view mirrors, new Edelbrock 650cfm carburetor with throttle Cable, new polished aluminum valve covers, a new reproduction '56 Cadillac "Bat Wing" air cleaner, a 12 V electric fan with shroud, new hood hinges, new stock Ford F100 side hood chrome emblems and new aftermarket LED rear tail lights. A front end wheel alignment and certified mechanical fitness/safety test were successfully completed last month as well.
It is understood that the original restoration process began in 2008 to have the cab and interior restored with a brand new box. The truck was then painted to the factory color correct 1956 Ford "Torch Red". New chrome bumpers & front grill were also added shortly thereafter. The original 239cid "Y-Block" engine and transmission began showing signs of aging in 2015. Both were then replaced that year with a GM 350cid V8 complete with a GM TH350 three speed automatic transmission.
