1965 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III BJ8 – Numbers-Matching, Restored by Kurt Tanner
This stunning 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III BJ8 is a numbers-matching Phase II example, fully restored by marque expert Kurt Tanner. Originally built for the North American market and delivered to San Francisco, it now wears a period-correct California Sage Metallic finish over linen leather—refinished during a complete rotisserie, nut-and-bolt restoration.

Powered by its original 2.9L inline-six and 4-speed manual with Laycock overdrive, this BJ8 delivers 150 hp through twin SU carburetors. Phase II features include roll-up windows, adjustable steering column, and a factory heater. The interior is trimmed in wool carpets, Smiths gauges, and a banjo-style wheel, capped with a tight-fitting dark green soft top.

Mechanically sorted and cosmetically excellent, every major system was rebuilt. The car runs and drives beautifully, with clean undercarriage, excellent panel fit, and mirror-finish paint. Stored in a climate-controlled collection and used sparingly since restoration, this BJ8 is ready for concours, rallies, or weekend drives.

A rare opportunity to own one of the finest Big Healeys, restored by one of the best in the business.
