Popularized by the TV Show Magnum P.I., starring Tom Selleck, the 308 GTS, designed by Pininfarina, became a famous car, which is regarded as an iconic classic, beautifully styled car to this day.
There were 3,219 GTS models made during the 1975–1980 production period.
Its F106 AB V8 engine is equipped with four twin-choke Weber 40DCNF carburetors and dual coil and distributor ignition, producing 237 HP at 6,600 rpm, more powerful and quicker than the later fuel injected models.
The current owner acquired this 308 in 1994, after its previous owner (since 1993) completed a major service in 1993, including the drivetrain, cooling system, fuel system, body & chassis and electrical system (all at 80k miles). The car had a freshly rebuilt engine and transmission, a new differential, clutch and brakes. Its body was stripped to bare metal and restored with new Rosso Corsa red paint – which still shows like new today. A newer AM/FM/cassette audio head unit has been added. Everything works, including the A/C.

Much of the work on this car has been done by the last two owners, with the proper parts, and with the major items done by Ferrari specialists and dealers, well documented. All comprehensive history, detailed records and receipts from 1992 are included. The car has been very well maintained and has always gotten all it needed and more – and it is reflected in excellent its current condition.
Included with this 308 GTS are its tool kit, a set of floor mats, seat slip covers, a car cover, a fuel filter, a new/extra fuel pump, new A/C & water pump belts, extra horn button, touchup paint, and a photocopy of its owner’s manual - plus the additional red targa top.
