The Porsche 911 Turbo S 3.6 Flat-nose, or Flachbau in German, was a special limited-production variant of the Porsche 964, available only in 1994. The Turbo S 3.6 Flachbau featured a distinctive front end with the "flat nose" design and was equipped with the X85 version of Porsche's M64 engine. This highly refined, race-derived 3.6-liter inline six-cylinder engine powers the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. Three versions of the Turbo S 3.6 Flat-nose were manufactured: X83 (for the Japanese market), X84 (for the rest of the world), and X85 (for the American market). Each of these versions had exclusive details, making them slightly different from each other. By the end of production of the Porsche 911 Turbo S 3.6 Flat-nose, only 76 examples had been manufactured, with 10 X83 examples, 27 X84 examples, and 39 X85 examples. This exclusive and highly collectible model has only 33,400 original miles, having had only two very careful owners who maintained this classic in like-new condition.
