1998 Mercedes-Benz SL500

After owning a R129 500Sl Mercedes continuously since 1998 when I acquired a new one and having owned several others that I bought with 100+ thousand mile I can concur in what most experts say when buying one with over 100,000 miles, MAINENANCE IS VERY IMPORTANT when deciding whether to buying a 100,000 mile used r129. Maintenance was therefore very important in my decision to buy the 1998 car that I am now offering for sale as was the overall excellent condition of it, a two-owner car. Always a Georgia car, 100,000-mile service done, a logbook of all repairs with invoices since 2013 and a good Carfax history before that, oil changes every 3,500 miles, a new OEM appearing $2300 soft top etc etc -what could not be liked about this car? It is in pristine condition for its age and mileage. The original smoke silver paint and the beige leather show extremely well and the smoke silver paint is a welcome break from the more traditional silver paint most often seen. To compliment the lines of the car and to give it a little more modern touch I added new 8” by 17” gloss black wheels and new tires and a more modern chrome grill. It drives well, everything works including the AC, heat, OEM Mercedes radio and the automatic soft-top. It comes with both keys and the OEM instructional manual. So, you are probably thinking that after a 28-year history of owning r129 SL 500 Mercedes cars why are you selling it? Unfortunately, I am wearing out faster than the car.
