The Alfa Romeo 159 (Type 939) is a 4-door sedan or wagon manufactured and marketed by Alfa Romeo between 2004 and 2011. Introduced in 2005 as the replacement for the 156, the 159 used the GM/Fiat Premium platform, shared with the Alfa Romeo Brera and Spider. It was made available in a great variety of gasoline and diesel engines and was succeeded by the Alfa Romeo Giulia Tipo 952 in 2011 after more than 247,000 units had been produced.
