Alfa Romeo first introduced the Giulia name in 1962. The first series of Giulia cars were the Type 105 family of cars which included sedans, convertibles, and sporty coupes, many of which were styled by famous Italian design houses. Notable Alfa cars such as the Giulia Sprint Speciale, Giulia GTC, Giulia TZ, and Sprint GT & GTV. The Type 105 family of Giulia cars ended production in 1978. The name was dormant until 2015 when Alfa Romeo introduced the Type 952 Giulia, a sporty series of mid size sedans.
