The BMW M240iR, also known as the M240i Racing, was a track-focused variant of the F22 BMW 2 Series. Introduced for the 2016 model year, the M240iR was powered by a modified version of BMW's N55B30O0 engine, which was a turbocharged 3.0L inline six. This engine had an output of 340hp and 339 lb ft of torque which was sent to the rear wheels via an 8 speed automatic transmission. As well as an uprated engine, the M240iR featured massive weight saving measures and a stripped interior, as well as upgraded suspension and an exterior bodykit. BMW offered the M240iR until 2020.
