BMW 540i Touring - Manual - E39 (1999 to 2003)

Although never offered from the factory, many E39 BMW 540i Touring wagons have been converted to manual versions. These aftermarket conversions are usually done with the 6 speed Getrag manual transmission found in the Manual E39 540i Sedan, but other transmissions have also been used. These cars left the factory powered by BMW's M62B44 engine, which was a 4.4L V8 engine that produced 282hp and sent power to the rear wheels.
