BMW 5 Series - E39(1996 to 2004)

The fourth generation of BMW 5 Series was introduced for 1996. Known as the E39, the fourth generation 5 Series was offered as a sedan or a station wagon. The E39 was offered with inline 6 and V8 gasoline engines, as well as inline 4 and inline 6 diesel engines, although no all wheel drive variant was offered. The most notable variants for the fourth generation 5 Series are the E39 540i, and the E39 M5. Built until 2004, the E39 was replaced by the E60 5 Series in 2004.
