The 750i was a variant of the E32 BMW 7 Series that was introduced for the 1987 model year. Built on the standard 7 Series wheelbase, the 750i was BMW's first car offered with a V12 engine. This V12 unit was BMW's M70B50 5.0L engine, which generated 295hp, which was sent to the rear wheels via a 4 speed automatic transmission. BMW also offered the 750i on its lengthened 7 Series wheelbase, with that variant being known as the 750iL. Production of the E32 750i ended in 1994, although the model series would continue life in the next generation E38 BMW 7 Series.
