Introduced for the 2003 model year, the 760Li was offered as a four door luxury sedan that was built on the long wheelbase (The 760i was the standard wheelbase variant). These cars were powered by BMW's N73B60 engine, which was the first V12 engine to feature direct injection. This V12 was a 6.0L unit that generated 439hp and 443 lb ft of torque which it sent to the rear wheels via a 6 speed automatic transmission. Production of the E65 760Li lasted until 2008, although the model series continued life as part of the next generation F01 BMW 7 Series.
