BMW R1150 (1999 to 2006)

The R1150 Motorrad was introduced in 1999 by BMW as the direct evolution of the R1100. It is equipped with a 1130 cc air/oil-cooled, twin boxer engine with DOHC, paired to a 6 speed manual transmission with shaft drive. The range included the adventure oriented R1150GS (1999–2004) and R1150GS Adventure (2001–2005); the grand tourer R1150RT (2001–2006); the roadster R1150R (2001–2006); and the sport touring R1150RS (2001–2005). The R1150 introduced key improvements such as a sixth gear, increased torque and highly capable Adventure versions, cementing BMW's prestige in long distance touring and the trail segment. The BMW R1150 was produced until 2006.
