The BMW 3.0 S was a variant of the BMW E3 New Six that was introduced in 1971. The 3.0 S was built exclusively in a sedan body style, with power coming from a carbureted 3.0L version of BMW's M30 inline six engine. This powerplant sent drive to the rear wheels through manual or automatic transmission options. The 3.0 S, which was the rest of the worlds equivalent to the US-exclusive Bavara, was in production until 1977.
