The Bugatti Type 38 was a series of grand tourers introduced in 1926. The Type 38 was a high end, high performance tourer that was powered by a 2.0L inline eight engine. This engine was piared to a 4 speed manual transmission that sent drive to the rear wheels. A supercharged version known as the Type 38A was also offered, but was much rarer. By the end of Bugatti Type 38 production in 1927, a total of 385 examples were built, with only 39 being the supercharged Type 38A.
